A Prayer for Pastoral Planning

Inspiring God,
we, the people of the Diocese of Wollongong,
pray that the future we plan
will be the future you promise us.

Enliven us with your Spirit;
keep us alert in faith to the signs of the times,
and eager to accept the challenge of the gospel.
Keep our service of others
faithful to the example and command of Christ.

May we cultivate the many gifts you create in us
to share your abundant life and divine love with all creation.

Nourish and unite us through the Eucharist.
Fill us with hope and joy.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ,
Lord of the past, present and future,
for ever and ever.
